Beires, Welcoming Corner
Panoramica de Alba

Located on the base of Sierra Nevada from Almeria, it has the shape of a mountain amphitheatre looking to the Andarax valley; Beires shows the typical white and clean houses from the Alpujarra, winding and protruding streets that contrast with green vegetation around it.

The urban scene it is divided in two villages, dominated from above by the ruins of the Castillejo or Muslin Castle and from bellow by the Virgen de los Desamparados Hermitage also called three villages hermitage, since it has been regenerated and located half way between Almócita and Padules.

It is still in the memory of the hard work of the steel mines, it was in use until the 60s of the last century and that is the reason why they have built the Opened Museum of the Mines at different corners of the village.

We want to invite you to learn about our historical memory.
